Personally, this is the news that I have been waiting for. Granted this does not represent the entire US market however it is quite notable nonetheless. According to the article, gas consumption has declined 4.5% compared to the same time last year. It’s a sign that the policies in California are actually working and are saving the environment and the bottom line. After all, less money spent on gasoline means more money to spend on other things (that may even be made in the US!).

I’m suprised that the california media isn’t trumpeting it more. People need to know that some things do get better when the right policies are in place.
